The importance of celebrating Janmashtami in school is where the kids learn values like truth, love, bravery. Where, the kids understand our Indian traditions better. It helps in character building through fun activities and creativity.
To celebrate this festival the tiny tots of DGSG Public School Dressed up as Krishna and Radha, celebrated this festival with great enthusiasm. Dressed up as Krishna and Radha, and they danced beautifully as Radha and Krishna used to perform. The boys were holding flute in their hands and the girls were holding Matkas with them.
The students from Classes I to VI engaged themselves into different activities like- the students of III class decorated the flutes with Gota and beads. actively participated in different activities. The students of Class I decorated flutes with gota and beads. Beautiful peacock feathers were made by the grade V students using papers. Dandia doll were made by Grade V students and last but not the least, the grade VI students made Matkas with cardboard.
The Janmashtami celebration was a delightful and educational experience for both students and teachers. It provided an opportunity for the children to learn about the rich cultural heritage of India and the significance of Lord Krishna’s mythology.
Unexpectedly Krishna Janmashtami and our Independence Day were on back-to-back dates in the calendar. So, It was a wonderful combination to celebrate both the festivals together.
The colourful decorations, dance performances, and engaging activities made the celebration memorable for everyone involved.
