SAMVIDHAN DIWAS
DGSG Public School Celebrated the constitution day in School Campus on 26 Nov, 2019.In which whole school participated. In this celebration, the preamble to the constitution read by the students in school campus. This is Innovative step to aware the students about constitution. All the teachers and students participated in it to read the preamble to the constitution.
Gurpurab Celebration
DGSG Public School celebrated the 550th birthday celebration of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Students sang religious hymns in the morning assembly. There was ‘Ardas’ in the morning, and after that, students participated in a card-making,Poster making and slogan-writing competition that gave the message to walk on the path, which was told by Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Students get the message from Guru Nanak Dev Ji‘s teachings, and all schools get blessings for betterment.
Children’s Day Celebration
  Children’s Day is celebrated in school on the occasion of the birthday of Shri Jawaharlal Nehru. There was a morning assembly in which students from classes I and II participated. They came in an outfit that was related to the patriotic theme. They sang the national anthem together, and students also participated in a card-making competition.
DIWALI CELEBRATION
DGSG Public School celebrated Diwali in school on Saturday, i.e., October 26–19. This student participated wholeheartedly. They decorate their classes with colourful ribbons, balloons, and rangoli. There was an inter-house competition of diya making and rangoli making in which students participated and Ajit House got the 1st position, Zora War House got the 2nd position, and Jujhar House got the 3rd position.  There was a rally related to GREEN DIWALI and SAY NO TO CRACKERS. Its main aim was to educate the students about the harmful effects of crackers and ask them to say no to crackers.
ANNUAL FUNCTION
DGSG Public School celebrated its annual function today (i.e., October 19, 2019) at its school campus with a spell-binding cultural program. The entire school participated wholeheartedly in the success of this grand event. This function is only possible because of the efforts of our president, S. Gurbachan Singh Grewal, and our principal, Mrs. Neha Dhall. The theme of the annual function is rhythmic culture, which is wonderfully presented by the performances of students. Students performed on various activities like Shabad Gayan, Ambay Stuti, Choreography (Women Empowerment), PBI Skit, Qawali, Giddha, Bhangra, and many more. The most memorable moments of the function are marked by precious words of advice and appreciation by President S. Gurbachan Singh Grewal during an address to the parents Mrs. Harjeet Kaur appreciated the students for their affords, and Principal Ms. Neha Dhall thanked the esteemed guests for attending the annual function. Overall, the celebration concluded on a happy note, encouraging the students to establish further milestones in their journey of success.

Inter-house Solo Dance Competition
  DGSG Public School had organised an inter-house (solo dance) competition from classes I–V. Students from each house participated in this competition. Students performed different styles of dance, and students who won  were appreciated by receiving prizes.
Workshop on Learning through Collaboration and Co-operation
  To make the learning more fruitful and child-oriented, a workshop on learning through collaboration and cooperation was conducted at DGSG Public School by Ephebus Learning. Our school invited Ms. Urmila Ghidyal. She has been trained by CBSE in areas of CE, life skills, and value education. She shared her valuable thoughts on how we focus on the better learning of the students through collaboration and cooperation. She was forced to make the study child-oriented because it is the demand of today. She provides many tips and solutions to many teachersqueries.
Teacher’s Day celebration
Any good teacher knows how important it is to connect with students and understand. DGSG Public School celebrated Teacher’s Day on September 5, 2019 with great fun and enthusiasm. We know that September 5 is dedicated to Dr. Radhakrishnan, who was an academic philosopher, scholar, and president of India, and above all, a teacher. In this celebration, and above all, teachers, In this celebration, students participated in a card-making competition and presented their amazing art work. A beautiful poem highlighting the importance of teachers was recited by students. There was a get-together of teachers; President S. Gurbachan Singh Grewal, the manager of the school, Mrs. Harjeet Kaur, and the principal, Mrs. Neha Dhall, were there in the celebration. Teachers indulged in fun-filled games that marked the celebration. President S. Gurbachan Singh and Principal Mrs. Neha Dhall addressed all the teachers with their inspiring words. Mrs. Harjeet Kaur, the manager of the school, showed the video to all the teachers, which inspired them in many ways. Mrs. Neha Dhall thanked all the teachers for their sincerity and hard work. There was a token of love and appreciation for the teachers. The day came to an end with a lunch hosted by the school.
Fit India Movement By PM Narendra Modi
  The PM of India, Narendra Modi, launched a nation-wide Fit India Movement on National Sports Day. The main focus is on the need to be fit. He said a healthy India is his goal. He also emphasised the importance of fitness. In the D.G.S.G. public school, students also watched the launch of the Fit India Movement through their smart classes and took pledges to be fit and healthy. If they remain physically active, then their intellectual and mental development can be enhanced.
Sahodaya Punjabi fest Competition (Punjabi fest)
Sahodaya School Complex Ludhiana had organised a Punjabi festival competition at Eastwood International School, Mandi Mulapur. It was vigilated and supervised by the principal, Dr. Amandeep Kaur Bakshi. There were three sections, i.e., Zones: Primary, Middle, and Senior Secondary. Our student Himanshu Kaushal of Class 8th B won the poster-making competition in the middle section.
Teej Festival
All the colours of Punjabi culture got collected on stage on the eve of the Teej festival at DGSG Public School. Teej refers to the monsoon festival. The school celebrated Teej on the school campus with all enthusiasm. The President, S. Gurbachan Singh Grewal, the Director, Mam, Mrs. Harjeet Kaur, and the Principal, Mrs. Neha Dhall, graced the occasion with their presence. Students were dressed up in traditional Punjabi dresses and looked amazingly good. The school was very well decorated according to the theme. Giddha and various items were performed by students. There were also various competitions organised, such as long pranda, best attire, Punjabi jutti, and Miss Teej for students. The excitement of the children was the best part of the day. The delicious food stalls were organised in the school, including gol-gappe, chat-tikki, noodles, burgers, manchurian, and kulfi.
Independence Day Celebrations
It was a red-letter day in the history of India when the country got its freedom on August 15, 1947. It took hundreds of years for us to break the shackles of slavery. The people of the country celebrate this festival every year. D.G.S.G. Public School has organized a rally of students to celebrate Independence Day. Students participated with huge enthusiasm and remembered how our freedom fighters revolutionised to make India an independent country. They themselves feel the patriotism in their hearts too.
Rakhi Competition
D.G.S.G. Public School had organized Rakhi competition on August 19th. Students made Rakhi and cards. This competition was held for a noble cause. We sent these Rakhis and cards to the Income Tax Department for soldiers. It will encourage the students to respect the emotions of soldiers. All the students participated wholeheartedly.
Workshop on Techniques of Teaching
To make the teaching more fruitful and child-oriented, a workshop on “Techniques of Teaching” was planned at DGSG Public School by Srijan Publisher P.LTD. Our school invited Dr. Rashmi Vij, the principal and founder of Police DAV Public School, Jalandhar. She shared her valuable thoughts regarding how to improve teaching techniques. Various methods were demonstrated to make teaching child-centred and more interesting. She was forced to make the study child-oriented because it is the demand of today’s education. She provided solutions to many of the teachers.
G.K Quiz Competition
D.G.S. G Public School has organized the G.K. Quiz Competition to raise awareness of current affairs. There were four houses, i.e., Ajit, Jujhar, Fateh, and Zorawar, who went through four rounds of science, sports, miscellaneous, and picture recognition. All the students participated with great zeal and enthusiasm. Jujhar led with the first position, Ajit and Fateh got the second and third positions, respectively. Mrs. Neha Dhall, the principal, appreciated the winners with prizes and also motivated them to make more efforts next time.
Result of PT-1
D.G.S. G Public School held a PTM on July 6, 2019. This PTM was related to PT-1 (Periodic Test 1). We are happy to share that the performance of our students is remarkable in PT-1. We wish them the best of luck for their bright future.
Registration of LSSC WEST
Ludhiana Sahodaya School Complex invited Principal Neha Dhall of DGSG Public School at Hotel KG for a meeting regarding registration of LSSC WEST, individual prizes to participants of co-curricular activities, discussion on new affiliation bye laws, open house discussion on remodelled assessments, and also discussion about the results of CBSE. Robomate Learning made Simple MT Edu Care Ltd., Mumbai, honoured Principal Neha Dhall with a token of gratitude.  
Sub Junior Basketball District Championship
Once again, D.G.S.G. Public School proved their ability to win the Sub Junior Basketball District Championship held at Guru Nanak Stadium from May 29th to May 31st, 2019. After winning all the league matches quite easily, in the finals, D.G.S.G. had a nail-biting finish and won the battle with a final score of 31-30. School management congratulated the whole basketball team and the coach, Mr. Charanjit Singh Bawa, for their tremendous victory and wished them good luck for the future.
Mother’s Day
It is truly said, “God could not be everywhere, and therefore he made a mother.” Mother’s Day is a celebration honouring the mother as well as motherhood and the bond of kids with their mother. D.G.S.G. Public School celebrated Mother’s Day on May 14, 2019. A speech was delivered, showing the love, bond, and value of a mother in everyone’s life. A card making competition organized and students of class 3rd to 8th participated in this competition whole heartedly. Cards made by the students were presented to their respective mothers.
Inter house Cartoon poetry Competition
D.G.S.G. public school conducted an “inter-house cartoon poetry competition “from 1st to 5th grade. Students participated in this competition wholeheartedly and performed well on the stage. Students prepared different cartoon characters with their poetry. Students were enjoying their performances.
Nature Is The Best Healer. Don’t Spoil It With Your Acts
Environment Day was celebrated at D.G.S.G. Public School, Ludhiana. Teachers interacted with the students about the vital role of an environment on our planet. Students delivered the speech about Environment Day. A competition was organized for the students. They participated with huge zeal and enthusiasm and prepared charts on Save Trees, Save Earth, and Keep Your Earth Clean and Green.
WATER CONSERVATION DAY
D.G.S.G. Public School celebrated Water Conservation Day on May 18, 2019 in the school. Its main purpose was to inculcate the value of water among the students. Students will learn how to save water and how to make proper use of water in our daily lives. A speech was delivered to ‘SAVE WATER’ in the morning assembly. A poster-making competition on ‘Water Conservation’ was held in the school. The students participated wholeheartedly. They represent their views and ideas on water conservation by making posters.
NO TABACCO DAY
D.G.S.G. Public School Organized “NO TABACCO DAY” activity on the school campus to inform the students about the harmful effects of this. A special assembly was arranged by the students of class X-B. A thought-provoking speech in English on the present scenario of drug-infested youth in Punjab was delivered by students. Students also prepared posters regarding anti-tobacco slogans. Teachers of the school also spoke on the need to eradicate drugs and motivated students to take the pledge of not letting tobacco spoil their lives. A poster-making competition was also conducted for classes VI–X.
COUNSELLING SESSION

A counselling session for parents was organized at DGSG Public School on Sunday, March 19, 2019. A number of parents attended the counselling session. It was a highly Session Mrs. Neha Dhall I welcomed the parents and discussed the whole academic section briefly with them. She informed the parents about the website of the school. She informed me that each and every detail regarding home work, the student’s performance, and the syllabus will be provided through the website. She also discussed that parents should give equal importance to periodic as well as terminal exams.

After that, Mrs. Harjit Kaur, principal of TSSM, shared her valuable views with parents. She made the parents aware of the adolescent period of their wards through her speech. She gave some examples and suggestions regarding this. She gave examples from her own personal experience. She advised them to tackle their wards with love and emotion. Sr. Gurbachan Singh, president of the school, delivered a wonderful speech about how parents should tackle their wards and how parents should become friends with their wards and understand them. He also discussed some solutions to solve the problems in their wards. He also said that parents should play an important role, just as teachers do.

SEMINAR REGARDING CHILD PROTECTION
A seminar regarding child protection was organized by the Social Welfare Department in DGSG Public School on February 14, 2019. The District Programme Officer (D.P.O.) chaired the seminar. The students participated wholeheartedly in the seminar. “Beti Bachao, Beti Padao” was the slogan of the seminar. Students and teachers also organised a rally with flash cards showing the above slogan in their hands.
LIVE WEBCAST REGARDING EVALUATION
D.G.S.G. Public School makes an arrangement on February 11, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. to show live video to provide the latest information to all the stakeholders regarding the evaluation and marking scheme. This programme was conducted in Delhi and would be live webcast on the CBSE website, YouTube, etc. They explained the rules, regulations, and system through a presentation on the various fields of examination and evaluation for teachers. The teachers of our school watch all the presentations and note down the evaluation and marking scheme.

BASANT PANCHaMI

Basant Panchami is a popular Hindu festival that marks the arrival of the spring season. It is also celebrated for the worthy goddess Saraswati, the symbol of knowledge and wisdom. Basant Panchami celebrated at DGSG Public School. A special assembly was conducted in which a speech on Goddess Saraswati was delivered by the girls of the senior wing. Saraswati Vandana was beautifully sung by students of both wings. The campus was beautifully decorated with kites and other items of yellow colour to mark the occasion. A kite-making competition was also organised, in which students from classes I to 8 took part and made beautiful kites.
BUDDY PROGRAMME
Our school has organized a buddy programme under the DAPO system according to the guidelines of the government on February 9. This programme is organized under the supervision of the NODAL Officer and Senior Buddy. Students in grades 6–10 participated in this programme. Firstly, the Nodal Officer introduced the students to the DAPO System and Buddy Programme. Students also deliver speeches regarding drug addiction, including what the consequences of drugs are and how to prevent them. Hopefully, students will learn how to keep themselves away from the trap of drugs.
BASKETBALL
The students of DSGS Public School brought honour to the school as they won the gold medal in the national basket ball competition held at Civet College Velacherry, Thambaram, Chennai (T.N.). Basketball players Jashanpreet Singh, Viteash Vishkarman, Jasmeet Singh, and Jashanpreet Singh showed their class to win the national-level competition. On this occasion, Principal Neha Dhall and Director Sr. Gurbachan Singh Grewal Congratulations to all the students and coach, Mr. Charanjit Singh, and I wish you good luck in the future.
PARIKSHA PE CHARCHA
On January 29, 2019, students of DGSG Public School watched and heard online the lecture by Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on pariksha pe charcha. In this lecture, students grasped tricks to handle stress during exam time. Also, PM Modi taught students to manage their time during the exam period. In this lecture, students as well as parents asked many questions about exam days, and PM Narendra Modi satisfied them with his valuable answers. Actually, it was a show full of knowledge and techniques regarding time management and handling stress from exams for both students and parents.
DGSG PUBLIC SCHOOL ORGANISED SEHAJ PATH
DGSG Public School organized the Shri Sehaj Path with devotion and reverence. Aarambh Shri ‘Sehaj Path’ was observed on December 10, followed by Samapti on December 18, in the presence of president ‘S. Gurbachan Singh Grewal, Mam Harjeet Kaur, Ms. Sarbjeet Kaur, Ms. Harmeet Kaur, Principal Ms. Neha Dhall, staff, and students of the school. On this occasion, ‘kirtan’ was performed by the students of the school. They paid tribute to Guru Granth Sahib, spreading their divine message of harmony, humility, and equality through poems, speeches, and orations. Guru ka langar was distributed to all the students and staff of the school.
