Lohri Celebration

Lohri is a popular Punjabi festival celebrated with great enthusiasm. Lohri is celebrated with a bonfire. On the night of Lohri, people gather around the bonfire to light it. They pray in front of the fire and offer til, moongfali, and gur, as all these eatables are considered Lohri Prasad.

On 13th January 2025, DGSG Public School also celebrated Lohri and Makar Sankranti in the school ground.

The honourable guest, Mr. Danish Grewal, came to the school premises to light the bonfire. All the staff members were invited to attend this occasion. Sweets, moongfali, and other eatables were distributed among them.

The students participated in the celebration by creating different and beautiful activities related to Lohri. The school premises were decorated with kites and other items made by the students.

At the end of the day, everyone enjoyed the celebration by dancing to the bhangra beats.
