Pakhwada (fortnight) refers to the period of time which is 15 days. Half of the month is called Pakhwada.As part of the Ministry of Education’s initiative, our school proudly observed Jal Pakhwada to foster awareness among the children about water conservation.A two-week long Jal Pakhwada was celebrated at DGSG Public School, students from classesI to X participated in numerous activities. Our tiny-tots played a vital role as they were shown audio and visual short song/poem on smart classes. They were singing and dancing together on the song of water conservation. They were taught by their teachers that how they can save water by their small steps. They can turn off the taps while brushing and can have short bath.Moreover, there was a seminar by the teachers for the students of III and IV on water conservation. There was another way used by the students of V and VI to make aware the people by their beautiful paintings on water conservation. The students of class VII wrote their different and precious views, that how we can contribute our share in saving water.Further, different models were prepared by the students of VI and VIII class students on water conservation. Some of them made handmade water purifiers from waste material, while another made the models on drip irrigation. Our VIII class students got certificate for the best model of drip irrigation.There was a house activity also for primary classes as well. They prepared songs/poems, slogans writing, paintings on Jal Pakhwada. Moreover, a rally was also took out by the students to bring about awareness among people about saving water.
