Chhabil on Gurpurab
Chhabil on Gurpurab
In Sikh tradition, Chabil (sweet water station) refers to the sweet cooling drink served freely at stalls. Made of milk, water, sugar, and rose syrup, the delicious coolant Chabeel is deeply linked to the martyrdom of Guru Arjan Dev Ji, the 5th Sikh Guru.
This year, DGSG Public School also organised Chabeel and Langar on the martyrdom of Shri Guru Arjan Dev Ji. All the staff members and students of the school participated in Sewa under the guidance of our Principal Dr. Rajni Angrish ma’am. Apart from students, teaching and non-teaching staff members, and even the passers-by, quenched their thirst with the Chabeel in the scorching hot weather.
Principal Dr. Rajni Angrish ma’am appreciated the efforts of all those who were involved in organising the Chabeel.
